New Feature – Whatever happened to…

Darryl Strawberry

Recently I did a post The 1986 New York Mets – The Other Side . It started off as a news story reporting on Lenny Dykstra’s newest brush with the law and some of the troubles the other ’86 Mets have had through the years. I soon found a different side to the whole story and changed the entire direction of the post.

In the end I was telling the story of the positive things some of the former Mets had done since 1986 along with a couple stories of real struggle and triumph.

I have gotten some really positive feedback  on the post since then and have decided to make it a regular feature. Since it is all about sports I have decided to move it over here to the sports site rather than where it was originally posted.

I will be calling the feature, “Whatever happened to…” . I am calling it that rather then the popular and usual “Where are they now” title because I will not so much be sharing what players are doing today, but rather things that they have done between their big moment and now.

Please enjoy the post, and the rest of the articles in ther series. Post two will be all about the ’86 Mets World Series opponent, the ’86 Boston Red Sox.
